Learning Toys

One of the emerging markets for animal toys are the training and learning toys for birds. A whole series has been made about them, from books to other active programs. One potentially favorable mode is the clicker method of teaching. In any teaching environment, it is as important to teach the owner how to own the animal as it is important to teach the animal how to obey. More often than not, the owner is giving mixed signals which only confuses and perpetuated bad behaviors within the animal. For that reason, much of any decent teaching method will be spent on how to instruct the owner to own the pet.

There are several other learning toys that parrots and other small creatures can enjoy. For example, there are commonly cuttlebone creations that the parrots both need and enjoy to grind their beaks and claws on. These are useful because they allow the bird to naturally groom themselves, and since the cuttlebone is natural you don’t have to worry about extraneous substances hurting your pet.
